ဇာဂနာ လြတ္ေျမာက္ေရး ဆႏၵေဖာ္ထုတ္ပြဲ လန္ဒန္တြင္ က်င္းပ

ျမစ္ႀကီးနားအက်ဥ္းေထာင္တြင္ ၃၅ ႏွစ္ မတရားအက်ဥ္းက်ခံေနရသည့္ ႏုိင္ငံေက်ာ္ ဟာသရုပ္ေဆာင္၊ ဒါရိုက္တာ ကိုဇာဂနာ (ခ) ကိုသူရ လြတ္ေျမာက္ေရးအတြက္ ရည္ရြယ္ၿပီး လန္ဒန္ၿမိဳ႕ Tralfagar Square ရွိ Speaker's Corner တြင္ ျမန္မာ့ဒီမိုကေရစီအင္အားစုမ်ား၊ ျမန္မာအေရးစိတ္ပါဝင္စားသူမ်ား ပါဝင္ေသာ ဆႏၵျပေဖာ္ထုတ္ပြဲတစ္ခု ကို ယေန႔က်င္းပၿပီးစီးခဲ့သည္။ အခမ္းအနားတြင္ ကိုဇာဂနာကို ကုိယ္စားျပဳသည့္ (Z) အကၡရာ သရုပ္ေဖာ္မွဳ ျပဳလုပ္ျခင္း၊ ကိုဇာဂနာပံုပါသည့္ ရင္ထိုးမ်ားဝတ္ဆင္ျခင္း၊ နာဂစ္မုန္တိုင္းအတြက္ ခံစားမွဳျဖင့္ ကိုဇာဂနာေရးသားထားသည့္ ကဗ်ာကိုဖတ္ၾကားျခင္း၊ တက္ေရာက္လာသည့္ အဖြဲ႔စည္းအသီးသီးမွ ကိုဇာဂနာႏွင့္ ပက္သက္သည့္ အမွတ္တရ စကားမ်ားေျပာၾကားျခင္း စသည့္ လွဳပ္ရွားမွဳမ်ားကို ျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့သည္။ ထို႔အျပင္ Burmese Theratre Workshop မွ Performance Art ျဖင့္ ေဖ်ာ္ေျဖခဲ့သည့္အျပင္ ဦးေရႊရိုး၊ ေဒၚမိုး အကတို႔ျဖင့္လည္း ကျပေဖ်ာ္ေျဖခဲ့ၾကသည္။ အဆိုပါအခမ္းအနားကို ညေန ၂ နာရီတြင္ စတင္က်င္းပၿပီး ညေန ၄ နာရီခန္႔တြင္ ေအာင္ျမင္စြာ ၿပီးဆံုးခဲ့သည္။ ... ကိုဇာဂနာ အျမန္ဆံုးလြတ္ေျမာက္ပါေစ ...

Free Zarganar Event

Zarganar, a Burmese comedian and film director, and political prisoner. Sentenced to 35 years in prison for sending information about cyclone Nargis to foreign media. Let’s dance, laugh, speak and make jokes together, in support of Zarganar. Who ? The Free Zarganar Campaign mobilizes several organisations and private citizens from Europe and the Burmese community in exile, in order to demonstrate support and solidarity to Zarganar and to freedom of expression in Burma. Colourful umbrellas will open the event: please bring yours along! What ? a Burmese show combining theatre dance, music and comedy, given by the Burmese community in exile, and testimonies from people who have known Zarganar. Free Zarganar! - An afternoon of comedy, poetry, performance and dance

Burma's most famous comedian, Zarganar, is currently serving a 35-year prison sentence for his criticism of the Burmese government's handling of Cyclone Nargis which hit Burma on 2 May 2008. The cyclone devastated the country - more than 140,000 people died and millions were made homeless. To mark World Press Freedom Day 2010 and to pay tribute to our brave colleague Zarganar, the Free Zarganar Campaign coalition will be holding a lively and colourful afternoon of comedy, poetry, performance and dance at Speaker’s Corner – the home of Free Speech in the UK – and will be calling for his immediate release. Everyone is welcome to come and join in, so do spread the word! Please wear red to help show your support and bring along an umbrella - the more colourful the better - to take part in our umbrella stunt. Who is Zarganar?
