Hottest July day ever in England

Wednesday (19.July) has become the hottest July day in England ever, with a temperature of 36.3C (97.3F) recorded at Charlwood in Surrey, near Gatwick Airport.

Chef Vered Zaada used the extreme heat to help her with her job by frying an egg on the bonnet of her car in Bournemouth.
