Burmese Cultural Evening

Please come and enjoy a fun evening of Burmese food, dance, costume, crafts and a raffle, in support of poverty relief and education in the Irrawaddy delta region of Burma (Myanmar).

Sunday December 6th, 6 - 9pm

Programme:

• Enjoy a cultural show highlighting the colourful traditional costumes, music and dances of several of the races of Burma, and featuring a traditional puppet show performed by a master of this art.
• Sample a delicious buffet throughtout the evening featuring a variety of classic Burmese savoury and sweet dishes, together with wine, beer and soft drinks.
• Admire and buy examples of traditional Burmese craftwork in laquer, tapestry, textiles and other materials - they make ideal Christmas presents!
• Experience the magic of Thanakah skincare, and learn why Burmese of all ages have used it on their faces for centuries.
